Anaesthetic Gas Scavenging Outlets Backed by over 25-years experience in the manufacture of medical gas products, the MGI Carina terminal unit is a high quality, proven product.

The simple design is straightforward to install and smooth in operation.

The unit is delivered to site fully assembled and consists of a terminal block with integral shut-off valve, a 15mm copper pipe stub, backplate, enclosure and faceplate.

Complying with BS6834:1987 (1992) the unit is available for all mounting situations within the clinical environment.

Essential Features

The terminal unit is manufactured and assembled under conditions of controlled cleanliness, from high quality materials.

All internal components are degreased prior to assembly.

Each assembly is pressure tested before despatch.

Each terminal block and socket assembly is gas specific (uniquely indexed) to prevent the delivery of the wrong gas.

The second fix socket and valve assembly is removable in-situ, from the front of the terminal unit without removal of the fascia plate. This feature saves considerable time in both installation and maintenance.

MGI terminal units are subjected to a series of tests in accordance with British Standards and MDD/93/42/EEC regulations, including visual inspections and pressure tests.

Medical Hose Assemblies
Medical Hose Assemblies MGI manufacture and supply a complete range of low pressure hose assemblies for use with compressed medical gases.

All hose assemblies are manufactured in accordance with BS EN 739:1998 - Low pressure hoses assemblies for use with medical gases.

MGI can supply a colour coded range of 6.5mm internal diameter hoses for Oxygen, Medical Air, Surgical Air, Nitrous Oxide, Nitrous Oxide/ Oxygen mixtures, and for Vacuum.

The different gases are clearly identified on the hoses by the use of bold permanent colours.

The hoses is manufactured from reinforced PVC with an anti-static core in accordance with BS EN 739:1998 - 5.3 Materials.

A range of connectors is available to suit a variety of medical gas outlet configurations.

The minimum bursting pressure of the hoses exceeds the requirements of BS EN 739:1998 - 5.4.2 Mechanical Strength.

NIST connector blocks incorporates an integral shut-off valve assembly to enable removal of the socket assembly without disruption to the system.

Anaesthetic Gas Scavenging Systems
Anaesthetic Gas Scavenging Systems The anaesthetic gas scavenging unit consists of a single or duplex lateral channel exhauster, with its impeller directly mounted on the motor shaft.

The unit is driven by a three phase electric motor.

The number of terminal units that the plant is connected to determines the plant size.

The packaged unit consists of the exhausters, starter, vacuum regulating valve, exhaust condensation trap and all interconnecting pipework and wiring.

The plant operating and indicating system is incorporated into the starter panel enclosure.

Remote starter and indication panels are available upon request.

Essential Features

The AGSS Plant is supplied as a package with all necessary items included and its unique compact design saves plant room space.

All units are complete with a fully automatic control system that will immediately respond to the users requirements, by selected the most economical configuration to suit the demand.

External monitoring includes a plant to alarm system interface and indicators to display the status of the unit at a remote location.

An automatic regulating valve controls vacuum levels to a preset maximum.

Any one component can be isolated without interruption of the supply and can be easily replaced with the minimum amount of disruption.

The plant is designed to be activated from any number of remote locations via wall mounted switches complete with running lights.

Customised layouts are available to save plant room space.
